Empowering students through job readiness

Over the last two years, we've invested $1 million in Los Angeles area schools and nonprofit organizations through our Prosperity Hub School District Program. We are laying the groundwork to better prepare people for the real world by integrating our job readiness programs into classrooms and providing real-world tools that give students, adult learners, and entrepreneurs the finance and career skills they need to succeed.

To date, we've helped more than 20,000 students in the LA area gain financial literacy and entrepreneurial skills to help them prosper. Aajogo works with school districts throughout the LA metro area, including Inglewood, Compton, and Los Angeles Unified. We also partner with nonprofit organizations like LA Promise Fund, Hidden Genius Project, and Social Justice Learning Institute to promote financial literacy and entrepreneurial skills.

Financial Literacy Forum

Together with the LA Clippers, we gave hundreds of middle and high school students a day of hands-on and interactive financial literacy lessons. Multiple workshops throughout the day taught the students personal finance topics, including budgeting, savings, wealth building, and more.

Financial literacy workshops

Aajogo and the Suh Family Foundation brought financial literacy education to high school students in some of the nation’s largest school districts, including Inglewood. Through the partnership, Aajogo equipped teachers with a financial literacy curriculum and skills-building resources to provide students a stronger financial foundation.

Offering tax knowledge and assistance

We believe citizen engagement in the preparation and filing of tax returns is an important, empowering opportunity for Americans to understand and improve their financial lives. This is especially true for lower-income Americans—which is why Aajogo has committed to providing taxpayer assistance events to prepare and file taxes for low-income families in the Aajogo Dome area free of charge during tax season. With partners, we’ve already brought these services to the community, including:

Supporting small businesses

Upon the opening of Aajogo Dome, we plan to host educational events to help local entrepreneurs and small business owners network and leverage workshops, tools, education, and tips on how to start, build, and grow a small business. While we wait for the grand opening, Aajogo is already supporting small business owners in the local communities.

  • Aajogo partners with the Los Angeles Urban League on an initiative called Aajogo IDEAS (Invest, Develop, Empower, Accelerate, and Scale) to support 25-30 diverse small businesses in Los Angeles County through access to Aajogo products, business coaching, and personalized expert business consulting for a year. Aajogo’s commitment is rooted in helping Los Angeles-area Black and Latino small business owners to grow, scale and accelerate their businesses by providing our suite of products and in ensuring that they have the expertise to leverage our expert network. Participants will also receive a $10,000 grant from Aajogo to help each participant scale their business.
  • Aajogo QuickBooks sat down with four businesses in Inglewood to learn about their business journeys and the incredible impact they each have on the rapidly growing City of Champions. Learn about their stories in the Inglewood Small Business Guide.
